Welcome to Moon Bound, an original supernatural RPG set in the fictional town of Thunder Cove, Washington.
Its early winter 2013, and the snow is already getting deep in the small coastal town of Thunder Cove. Things in this picturesque tourist town aren't exactly what they seem. Nothing in the world is what it seemed anymore, its as if the closer the world came to that fateful day on the Mayan calendar, the more the supernatural creatures of the world woke up and made their presence known. The fae are walking among us now, as are the old spirit guides and warriors of old Native American lore. The werewolf, vampire, and skinwalker populations have all taken a sudden rise, and the witches of old who had thought their powers lost to them have suddenly found themselves able to do magic again. The world hasn't ended, but its changing. Some say for the better, some say for the worst. In Thunder Cove, the population is split in half knowing that their town is a supernatural hot spot can make things difficult-- especially when the normal members of the population are part of the food chain.

Long story short, real life problems trump internet life, so I haven't been on. I'm also going out of town in a couple weeks and more than likely won't have access to a computer. Not sure what day I'm going to be back, but I promise I will be. More than likely mid-June.

He didn't know how he got there.

Sometimes an exceptional memory was both a blessing and a curse. Sure, James could memorize pages and pages of texts and the visual world around him, but sometimes it got to be too much; an overload of information made him feel like his head was going to cave in. Usually these strange spells would occur under stress--finals at school had been the cause of the last one. This one was different.

When he began to regain his senses, he realized he was cold. It wasn't really too cool outside, so he wasn't certain where that sensation came from. He blinked slowly as he took in his surroundings: a crowded street, it looked like. People didn't even give him a second glance as they shuffled past him to wherever their destinations were. Downtown? Well that was his best guess, he didn't really recognize the area. He could only assume he was still in Olympia.

Alright, deep breath, no big deal, he thought to himself. You're just... not paying attention. Yeah. Went for a walk and started daydreaming. Come to think of it, what had he been doing before he ended up here? Something about going to get something to cook for dinner because he hadn't gone grocery shopping, right? Well it was certainly well passed dinner time now. A quick glance at his phone told him it was almost none o'clock.

He looked up again at the sound of a few giggling girls walking past him with a slight grimace. Suddenly he remembered the voicemails from his phone the other day and wondered if this strange girl (now labeled "That Drunk Chick in Case She Calls Again So I Know To Ignore It" in his contacts) ever got in touch with whoever she was trying to call. Or whatever she meant by "we're good together". This whole dating thing never did make too much sense to him, but then he wasn't interested in anyone beyond friendship either.

Sighing, he pocketed his phone and zipped up the jacket he was wearing. Maybe he could find a store to duck into for a little while until he figured out how to get home from... wherever he was.
I never properly introduced myself, so I'm following AJ's lead because I'm a copycat like that. c: I don't have any awesome pictures of myself that are recent, so have this instead:
It may or may not be a photoshopped picture my friend made (hint: it is).
You can call me Alya. I'm 20 years old, currently live in Northeast Florida, and I will soon be starting college and majoring in psychology. For that matter, I have a morbid interest in the subject and tend to overanalyze character personalities. Namely my own. I also have a morbid interest in serial killers and criminology and if I could stomach that sort of thing I would probably totally go work for the FBI and fight crime. Instead I plan to be a social worker doing crisis intervention (i.e. working at mental hospitals).
I have many pets, including three cats, two dogs, and a younger brother. I don't call him little brother because he's taller than me and pats me on the head and calls me shorty. So I smack him over the back of the head and tell him he's dumb. It's what we do.
I don't date because I'm bad with people. For that matter I don't have many friends IRL. It might be because I'm annoying. Who knows.
I also throw tables and small children when angry and have a dumb art tumblr for the things I randomly draw. If you ever want to laugh at my fail, drop by!
Oh yeah, I used to live in Kentucky. The part that doesn't have the crazy rednecks with shotguns that glare at you for having the audacity to drive through their town I mean. I also lived in North Carolina briefly.
Uhhhhh I guess ask if you want to know anything else.
